Little Pots, Big Possibilities

For stocking stuffers, handmade gifts, and little surprises around the holiday table.

Create a collection of miniature ceramic treasures, from salt cellars and dipping bowls to tiny vases, ring dishes, and little pots filled with holiday treats.

In this three-session workshop, you'll learn to throw off the hump, a technique that lets you make multiple small pieces from a single large mound of clay. It's a wonderful way to build speed, improve precision, and experiment with new forms.

  • Session 1 – Throwing: Learn to center, shape, and separate small forms from a larger mound of clay, exploring different shapes and proportions.

  • Session 2 – Trimming: Refine your pieces, add foot rings, and prepare your collection for firing.

  • Session 3 – Glaze Lab: Explore festive colors, playful combinations, and decorative finishes. Choose the Glaze Lab sessions that suit your schedule, and attend as many as you'd like. (Schedule coming soon!)

Advanced beginners and up welcome. Participants should be comfortable throwing a straight-sided cylinder using at least 2 lbs of clay. All materials, glazing, and firing included.
